OGDEN, Utah Northern Arizona s Olympian Diego Estrada was named as the 29th greatest male athlete in the history of the Big Sky Conference. Estrada participated in the NCAA Cross Country Championships three years in a row from 2009-2011 in addition to competing in three straight NCAA Indoor Championships where he won a national championship in the 5,000 meter run in 2011. The native of Salinas, Calif. went to three straight NCAA Outdoors Championships competing in the 5,000 meters where he placed as high as third. Estrada earned the Most Valuable Athlete at the 2012 Big Sky Conference Championships and ended his career at NAU holding four all-time records in the outdoor mile, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and the indoor 5,000 meters.
