Northern Arizona teammates Nico Young, Brodey Hasty and Cael Grotenhuis all advanced in the men's 5,000-meter semifinals at the NCAA Division 1 West Regional at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. Young was second in his heat in 13:48.44, with Hasty finishing fourth in 13:51.30. Grotenhuis, who also qualified for the Division 1 final in the 10,000 meters, was sixth in his semifinal heat in 13:50.59, but advanced as one of the two fastest competitors among non-automatic qualifiers.
