Nico Young, a junior at Northern Arizona, placed second in the Road to Paris men's 10,000 meters in a collegiate record 26:52.72 at The TEN at JSerra High in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. Young eclipsed the 27:08.39 performance achieved by Liberty's Sam Chelanga in 2010. He also ascended to the No. 3 all-time American competitor in the event.
