Elise Stearns, a sophomore at Northern Arizona University, took third in the women's 6-kilometer championship race at the 13th Nuttycombe Wisconsin Cross Country Invitational at the Thomas Zimmer Championship course in Madison. Stearns clocked 19:57.5 to help Northern Arizona place third overall with 244 points.
